The Human Resources division of the Village Manager's Office is the central coordinating point for attracting, retaining, and motivating qualified employees dedicated to excellence in public service.  Human Resources strategically partners with operating departments and employees to provide assistance and guidance in all areas of employment including:

  • Recruitment, selection and retention of employees
  • Maintenance of classification and pay plans
  • Benefits administration
  • Staff development and training
  • Personnel policy administration
  • Labor relations and contract negotiations
  • Workers' Compensation and employee safety
  • Legal compliance
Risk Management
Human Resources performs risk management functions for all departments and operations.  This involves providing reliable protection against human and financial loss through a self-directed and proactive partnership with each Village department that aims at delivering high quality, professional, risk management services. The department is also responsible for effectively managing exposures to accidental losses in ways which protect the Village's assets and assure the continuity of operations.

Human Resources is the first point of contact for general liability claims against the Village.  If a member of the public has suffered property damage or injury believed to be due to the responsibility and/or action of the Village, please contact Human Resources directly by phone or via email
