The Village of Huntley is proud to announce our 2024 special events! From our annual farmers markets to our holiday celebrations, there's something for everyone to enjoy in the Village of Huntley. Explore our diverse lineup of special events and mark your calendars to make sure you don’t miss out. More information and details will be released closer to each event.

Indoor Farmers Markets: January 13 (Cancelled), February 10, March, 9, April 13, and May 11
Our Indoor Farmers Markets are held inside Fellowship Hall at 1st Congregational Church located at 11628 E Main St, Huntley from 9 am-1 pm. Offerings include produce, baked goods, honey, jams, and more! A complete list of vendors can be found here

Don’t Be Fooled 5k for Special Olympics: April 6
Help us raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Illinois with a fun run, trot, or stroll around downtown Huntley. To purchase tickets, donate, or learn more about this event, click here

TIMELINE
  • 7:45 am - 8:45 am: Registration/Check-in
  • 8:50 am: Torch Lighting Ceremony
  • 9:00 am: Don't Be Fooled 5K begins
Arbor Day Tree Planting: April 26
Join us around the pond near the Municipal Complex as we plant a tree or two in celebration of Arbor Day! This event will take place at 4:30 pm.

Green & Clean Huntley Day: April 27
Do a little spring cleaning with Green and  Clean Huntley Day! Residents will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following services from 9am-Noon.
  • Electronics recycling
  • Printer cartridge recycling
  • Document destruction
  • Spring cleaning drop off
  • Eyeglass collection and recycling
  • Gently used book drive
  • And free mulch pickup
  • Wastewater treatment plant tours
Ladies Night Out: May 2
Ladies, join us for an evening out in Huntley! Pre-registration for this event is NOT required. The first 200 ladies checking in will receive extra goodies. The fun starts on May 2nd when you check in at the Legion Hall (11712 Coral St) to receive your game board and map of participating businesses. Then visit as many businesses as you wish and get your game card stamped at each location. Don't forget to save your receipts too for extra raffle tickets. For every 10 stamps, you’ll get a raffle ticket for the free drawings at the end of the evening.

Cop on Top: May 17
Cop on a Rooftop will take place at the two Huntley Dunkin locations, 12090 Princeton Drive and 9800 Route 47 from 5 a.m. to noon. For the 21st year, the police department will participate in the Cop on a Rooftop to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Illinois.

Weekly Farmers Market: Every Saturday from May 25 to October 12
Dive into the local flavors at the Huntley Farmers' Market. Discover fresh produce, artisanal crafts, and tasty treats from regional vendors. It's not just a market; it's a community gathering where you can support local businesses and enjoy the best Huntley has to offer. Farmer's markets take place in downtown Huntley along Coral Street. Memorial Day Parade: May 27
The Memorial Day Parade kicks off at 11am from the Municipal Complex (10987 Main Street) and travels west on Main Street to the Town Square where a short Memorial Day Ceremony will take place following the parade.

To be a part of this year's parade, please register here. Parade registration will be accepted until 5pm on May 22nd, 2024. 

Summer Concert Series on the Square: Every Tuesday from June 25 to August 13
Groove to the rhythm of summer with our free outdoor concert series. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to the Huntley Square and enjoy a variety of musical genres, from rock and blues to country and jazz.

Family Fun Day at the Farmers Market
: June 29
Join us on Saturday, June 29 for a fun day with the whole family! The Market will take place rain or shine. We look forward to seeing you in downtown Huntley on Coral Street.
Independence Day Fireworks Show: July 4
Join us on July 4 for an Independence Day Fireworks Show at Deicke Park. The show will start at about 9:30 pm but come early for the festivities!

Tip a Cop at Culver's: July 6
The Huntley Police Department will be on-site in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Illinois Special Olympics. During “Tip a Cop,” members of the Police Department and Special Olympic Athletes will be on-site to collect donations and raise awareness for Special Olympics.

Public Works Day at the Farmers Market: July 13
This event shines a light on the Village of Huntley’s Public Works Department with a touch-a-truck event and more!

Movie in the Park: July 19
Enjoy a free movie in Parisek Park featuring Moana! The movie begins at dusk, but bring blankets, chairs, and your favorite foods to enjoy a picnic before and during the movie. The Hawaiian Food Truck will be here too!

Bike Huntley and Village Picnic on the Square: August 4
Each summer, our Bike Patrol officers lead other cyclists on the Bike Huntley ride.  This event takes participants over some of our many biking paths and through some of our beautiful parks.  The entire ride is approximately 8.5 miles and will take about an hour for the average rider to complete.

National Night Out: August 6
National Night Out is a community-building campaign, held annually on the first Tuesday of August, that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, and better places to live. Events include a Police vs. fire softball game, and a National Night Out gathering in Town Square.

D158 Foundation Glow 5K Hootenanny: September 7
The Huntley Hootenanny celebrates the farm roots of Huntley and provides an exciting glow atmosphere to engage the community. We are excited to have our community gather again this September for some great fun in support of an important cause. This year we expect to reach our cap of 3,000 Hootenanners quickly! Our goal and mission, with your partnership, is to raise as many funds as possible to fill classroom initiative grants and student scholarships for continuing education.

Trick or Treat Around the Square: October 31
Bring the little ones Trick-or-Treating at the businesses around the square on Halloween Day from 10 am to 3 pm! There will be lots of treats and special promotions just for you, so follow the orange balloons to the participating businesses!

Veteran’s Day Ceremony and Collection Event: November 10
Join us on Saturday, November 10 at the Honoring our Veterans Collection Event & Ceremony. Collection in the square will take place from 10 am-1 pm and the Veteran’s Day Ceremony will take place at 11 am.

A Very Merry Huntley: December 7
Start the day off with the Huntley Rotary Club Running of the Elves and our Kris Kringle Market. Then join us in the evening for a pasta dinner at Legion Post 673, holiday shopping, train rides, reindeer, cocoa, the lighting of the trees and gazebo in the Town Square, fireworks, and Santa!

Wreaths
Across America: December 14
Wreaths Across America is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping families honor their loved ones by sending wreaths to cemeteries, monuments and state houses across the country.
