Village Manager
The Village Manager, appointed by the Village Board, serves as the chief executive of the Village and provides the benefits of training and experience in administering a local government’s staff, its projects, and its programs. The Village Manager’s role is similar to that of a chief executive in a multi-department service organization.
As administrative head of the Village Government, the Village Manager is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all Departments, and the appointment of all Village personnel other than those members of the Police Department who are appointed by the Police Commission. Village Departments include: Finance, Development Services, Police, and Public Works and Engineering.
