Sergeant Sullivan has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since June of 2002. Sergeant Sullivan attended the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois in Champaign. Sergeant Sullivan has been assigned to the Patrol Division of the Huntley Police Department since graduating from PTI. Sergeant Sullivan graduated from Western Illinois University in 2001 with a Bachelor Degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. He enjoys golfing, baseball, and spending time with his family. Sergeant Sullivan is currently assigned to the Investigations Division of the police department where he supervises the
Investigations Division and the
School Resource Officer. He is the Department's Evidence Custodian, physical fitness specialist, and he oversees the
Office of Professional Standards and
the Department’s Recruitment Team.

Sergeant Keane has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since 2001. He received his academy training through the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. In 2010, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Benedictine University. During his employment with the Huntley Police Department, Sgt. Keane has worked as a patrol officer, evidence technician, field training officer, officer in charge, and was assigned to investigations as a detective for the 9 years prior to his promotion. While in Investigations, he was assigned to the McHenry County Major Investigation Assistance Team (MIAT), the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team (KCART), and is a state certified Traffic Crash Reconstructionist. Sergeant Keane served as the patrol officer’s union president from 2005-2016 and was previously nominated for Kane County Officer of the Year. He also teaches law enforcement throughout the country as a national instructor in open source investigations. He currently oversees the Records Division, fleet and facility management and department training.

Joseph Willard - Patrol Sergeant
Sergeant Willard has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since June of 2001. Sergeant Willard graduated from Northeast Multi-Regional Training in 2000 and worked for the Veterans Park District Police Department and the Tower Lakes Police Department. He served the Village of Huntley as a Patrol Officer for 5 years then was assigned as a Detective in the Investigations Division for 9 years. During his time in the Investigations Division, Sergeant Willard was a member of the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force. Sergeant Willard is also a member of the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team (KCART). In 2010 he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Benedictine University. Sergeant Willard enjoys spending time with his family and friends, is a little league coach and an automotive enthusiast.

Sergeant McGrath has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since March of 2009. He received his academy training at the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. After 5 years as a patrol officer, he was assigned as a detective to the Criminal Investigations Division where he served for 5 years before he was promoted. While in Investigations, Sergeant McGrath was a member of the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force. Sergeant McGrath is a certified firearms instructor and is currently assigned as the Range Master overseeing all firearms training for the department. Sergeant McGrath is a certified evidence technician and is a member of the Department’s Strategic Planning Committee. Prior to joining the Huntley Police Department, Sergeant McGrath earned the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Eagle Scout Award and later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In the Marines, he was deployed in 2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sergeant Sander has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since February 2007. He received his police academy training through the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. Sergeant Sander attended McHenry County College and College of Lake County, where he earned an Associate Degree in Engineering Science. After being hired by the Huntley Police Department, Sergeant Sander went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College and later an additional Associate in Science degree in Intelligence Operations through Cochise College in Arizona. Sergeant Sander has served as a juvenile officer, field training officer, evidence technician, officer in charge and a temporary assignment as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division. From February 2018 through June 2021, Sergeant Sander was assigned as an Inspector for the Illinois State Police North Central Narcotics Task Force. His duties included undercover narcotics operations, drug-induced homicide investigations, handling confidential informants, serving search warrants and various other narcotics and weapons related investigations. Additional areas of training include interviewing and interrogations, undercover narcotics investigations and lead homicide investigator. Sergeant Sander also serves as a staff sergeant in the US Army Reserve and has deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Sergeant Sander serves as one of the Area 1 Sergeants.

Sergeant Carney has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since August of 1999. She began her law enforcement career as a Traffic Service Officer at the Hoffman Estates Police Department for two years before becoming a member of the Huntley Police Department. She received her police academy training through the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. While an officer in the Patrol Division, Sergeant Carney served as an Officer in Charge, a Field Training Officer and a Bike Officer. In 2015, Sergeant Carney was one of the first officers assigned to the new Community Response Team (CRT). While in CRT, Sergeant Carney served as the Social Services Coordinator, working closely with various social service agencies and professionals to assist residents with issues such as domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, hording and cases of elder abuse. She also served as the Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) Coordinator, helping to establish the program in our department. She spearheaded many public education programs, such as Neighborhood Watch presentations, business safety presentations, the Citizens Police Academy (CPA) and the Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT). As the liaison with our volunteer groups (Huntley Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA) and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)) she coordinated their activities with the department during her time in CRT. Sergeant Carney also serves as one of the Area 1 Sergeants.
Sergeant Gregorio has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since June of 2015. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Associates of Science Degree in Aviation from Southern Illinois University. Sergeant Gregorio graduated from the Illinois State Police Academy in 2009 and worked for the McHenry Police Department for 6 years prior to becoming a member of the Huntley Police Department. He was a Patrol Officer and subsequently assigned to the School Resource Officer position serving Huntley High School and Leggee Elementary for 6 years. During his time as the School Resource Officer, he coordinated and ran the LEAD the Way program and Huntley High School Summer Forum. Sergeant Gregorio is a member of the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force Evidence Team. Sergeant Gregorio is also a member Huntley Police Departments Innovations Team. Sergeant Gregorio also serves as the Area 2 Sergeant.

Sergeant Heagney has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since March of 2012. He received his academy training at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Prior to his promotion, Sergeant Heagney spent most of his time assigned to the Patrol Services Bureau as a patrol officer where he served as an Officer-in-Charge (OIC) and Field Training Officer (FTO). He has completed training for certification as a juvenile officer, basic evidence technician, basic accident investigator and in Crisis Intervention (CIT). He also completed a temporary assignment as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division in 2014 and served as Community Response Officer from February 2015 to October 2016. He is also assigned to the McHenry County Chiefs of Police Honor Guard, serves on the board of the Huntley Police Pension Fund, and acts as an advisor to the department’s program for teens interested in a career in law enforcement. Prior to joining the Huntley Police Department, Sergeant Heagney obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Loyola University Chicago and, as a member of the Army ROTC program, earned a commission as an officer in December of 2010. He continues to serve in the Illinois Army National Guard and deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Spartan Shield) from late 2020 to mid-2021. Sergeant Griffith has been employed by the Huntley Police Department since 2007. He began his law enforcement career in 2001 at the Hoffman Estates Police Department as a civilian desk officer and then at the Elgin Police Department as a community service officer. He received his academy training at the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois, Champaign. Sergeant Griffith has served temporary rotational assignments in the Criminal Investigations Division in 2010 and the North Central Narcotics Task Force in 2013. During his Criminal Investigations assignment, he received a letter of recognition from the Elgin Police Department for assistance he provided on one of their cases. In 2018, he also received a letter of commendation for his efforts in preserving life and property while responding to a structure fire. Sergeant Griffith has served as an Officer-in-Charge (OIC) and the department Defensive Tactics and Taser instructor. He currently serves on the Innovations Team and the Strategic Planning Committee. Sergeant Griffith is currently enrolled at Lewis University, working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Sergeant Griffith also serves as the Area 4 Sergeant.
