Village Location
The Village of Huntley is located along the "golden" I-90 Corridor approximately 45 minutes west of the Chicago Business Loop and 30 minutes west of O’Hare International Airport. Neighboring communities include Crystal Lake and Lakewood to the Northeast, Lake-in-the-Hills and Algonquin to the East, Gilberts to the Southeast, Hampshire to the Southwest, Marengo and Union to the West and Woodstock to the North.

Current Population and Population Estimates
Currently, Huntley's corporate limits encompass 14.22 square miles of land area, with a certified Census population of 23,226 residents. The Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission estimates the population will rise to 44,435 by year 2030.

Since 2000, the Village of Huntley has issued over 7300 residential building permits for new homes!  The Village's 1990 Census population was 2,453 and the 2000 Census number was 5,730. A Special Census in 2008 revealed Huntley's population has grown to 23,226, that's a 405% increase since the Census figures of 2000!
