D.A.R.E. is an acronym for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. D.A.R.E. is a comprehensive prevention program designed to equip elementary school children with various life skills.
The D.A.R.E. program helps children recognize and resist social pressures relating to tobacco, alcohol, marijuana and other drugs. D.A.R.E. is a ten-week curriculum and is taught by a specially trained, uniformed Police Officer who develops a unique relationship between the student and the Officer.
