MICHAEL HEWITT- Area #1 Sergeant
Sergeant Hewitt graduated from the Illinois State Police Academy in 1988 and worked for the Hampshire Police Department until 1990 when he began his career with the Huntley Police Department. Prior to that he was a volunteer paramedic for Elburn Ambulance and a dispatcher for the Kane County Sheriff's Office. Sergeant Hewitt graduated from the Northwestern Traffic Institute School of Staff and Command, has been a Police Sergeant since 1996, a DARE officer, Administrative Sergeant, and Patrol Sergeant. Sergeant Hewitt has an Associates Applied Science Paralegal Degree from Elgin Community College and a Bachelors of Arts in Management from Benedictine University.

L. J. MARAK - Area #2 Sergeant 
Sergeant Marak has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since March, 2002. Sergeant Marak attended and graduated from the Police Training Institute in Champaign, IL in June, 2002. Between January, 2005 until January, 2008 Sergeant Marak was assigned to the Investigations Division of the Department. Sergeant Marak is a certified Field Training Sergeant and Evidence Technician. Sergeant Marak is also a Firearms Instructor, Rifle/Carbine Instructor, a BASSET Instructor, and an Immediate Action/Rapid Response Instructor. Sergeant Marak graduated from Harper College. Sergeant Marak enjoys hunting, camping, and spending time with his wife and three children.

SCOTT SULLIVAN- Area #3 
Sergeant Sullivan has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since June of 2002. Sergeant Sullivan attended the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois in Champaign. Sergeant Sullivan has worked as a patrol officer with the Huntley Police Department since graduation from PTI. During his time with the Huntley Police Department Sergeant Sullivan has been a Field Training Officer, Officer in Charge, Bicycle Officer, instructor for the Citizen's Police Academy, Evidence Custodian, member of the Recruiting Team, member of the Policy Review Committee, and a CareTrak instructor. Sergeant Sullivan graduated from Western Illinois University in 2001 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration and a minor in Sociology. Sergeant Sullivan and his wife have one child.

KEVIN HILLNER- Area #4 Sergeant
Sergeant Hillner has been in law enforcement for 30 years.
He began his police career with the Carpentersville Police Department in 1980,
graduating from the Illinois State Police Academy in Springfield Ill. Sgt Hillner has been employed with the Huntley Police Department since 1989. Sergeant Hillner was promoted to Sergeant in July of 1998, the first Sergeant promoted by the then newly formed Huntley Police and Fire Commission. He graduated from Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command in 2002. During his employment with the Huntley Police Department he has been the Evidence Custodian, Truck Weight Enforcement officer, Records Division Supervisor, and also formed and coordinated the first Citizens Police Academy in 2007. He is trained as a gang enforcement officer, truck weight enforcement officer, and certified breath alcohol instrument operator. Sergeant Hillner is married with four children and two grandchildren. He has his private pilot license and began flying in 1986. Additionally, he enjoys hunting and fishing and of course airplanes.
